Arsenal ‘almost done’ with £60m deal to sign highly-rated attacker in January
Arsene Wenger appears to have edged closer to finding the player who could replace Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in the near future.
The Arsenal manager was criticised by fans and pundits for his decision-making in the transfer market during the summer after signing only Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette.
And with the Gunners struggling to challenge for the Premier League title so far this season while the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil remain uncommitted to the club, Wenger will have to spend in the winter.
As a result, the Daily Star are exclusively claiming that Arsenal are working on deal which will see them sign Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir in January.
The report is boldly suggesting that the Gunners are “almost done” done with the transfer agreement which would see the 24-year-old move to the Emirates stadium.
If Fekir does indeed join Arsenal in the upcoming transfer window, it would pave the way for the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to be sold.
A move to north London for the Frenchman would see him link up again with Alexandre Lacazette, his former teammate at Lyon.
