Arsene Wenger has been handed some good news on the injury front ahead of Thursday night’s clash with Cologne in the Europa League.

The Arsenal manager witnessed his side get back on track after the international break with a 2-0 victory over fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

And one of the absentees from that game was Olivier Giroud who suffered a thigh injury while on duty with the French national team.

Wenger stated last week that the striker’s spell on the sidelines was expected to be a brief one.

And the Gunners boss has been proven right with Giroud returning to training ahead of the trip to Germany.

The former Montpellier star was able to train at London Colney on Wednesday, as reported by journalist Ben Dinnery.
