Arsenal 6-0 Ludogorets – Report
Arsenal secured another comfortable victory in the Champions League by thrashing Ludogorets 6-0 at the Emirates stadium on Wednesday.
Arsene Wenger made four changes to his starting line-up as David Ospina, Kieran Gibbs, Francis Coquelin and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain replaced Petr Cech, Nacho Monreal, Granit Xhaka and Alex Iwobi respectively.
The away side were threatening going forward in the opening minutes but Ludogorets found it difficult to cope with Arsenal’s blistering attack as well in an end-to-end affair during the first-half.
Alexis Sanchez opened the scoring for the Gunners after just 12 minutes with a sensational chip before Theo Walcott found the net with his own brilliant long-range effort.
To their credit, Ludogorets might consider themselves unlucky to fail to score at least once after hitting the woodwork in a counter-attacking move before Walcott’s strike.
However, an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain goal only seconds after the restart before a sublime second-half hat-trick from Mesut Ozil which included two assists from substitute Lucas Perez meant Wenger’s men took all the plaudits for tonight.
