Arsenal boss Unai Emery has been boosted this week by the news that one of his injured players has been making major progress towards his return to action.

The Gunners have managed to keep themselves in the race for a finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, despite being troubled by injuries to several star players as usual this campaign.

One of the players who have succumbed to injury blows this season is Danny Welbeck after a serious ankle damage he suffered during a Europa League game earlier in the campaign.

The 28-year-old has been undergoing his rehabilitation for the past couple of weeks and he was able to return to light training this week as the squad traveled to Dubai.

Welbeck is now able to train on his own and he is on course to make a full return to fitness some time in the summer.
