Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta appears to be plotting the addition of a new midfielder as the Gunners look to turn around what has been a very turbulent season.

Even after Wednesday night’s big win over Manchester United, there is no question about the fact that Arteta might need to spend this month to rectify some weaknesses within the squad.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are now considering a move to sign ex-Gunner Glen Kamara from Rangers.

The report states that the club has sent out officials to scout the 24-year-old and after watching him in action for the sixth time, a swoop for the midfielder is being plotted.

Kamara moved to the Gunners’ academy from Southend originally in 2012 and spent five years in North London.

The Finnish ace, who was released by Arsene Wenger in 2017, has been in impressive form since joining Steven Gerrard’s side a year ago for just £50,000.

Kamara never managed to make a Premier League appearance for Arsenal during his days at the club and his return would see Arteta gain more options to choose from in a midfield.
