Arsene Wenger appears to have made an initial attempt to secure the services of the man who could replace Alexis Sanchez in January.

The Arsenal manager was only able to complete the acquisition of two players during the summer as the likes of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette moved to the Emirates stadium.

With the future of star forward Alexis Sanchez looking very much uncertain after his failed move to Manchester City, Wenger has continued to be linked with a host of attacking players.

Thus, reports are now claiming that Arsenal have made contact with Paris Saint-Germain over a loan deal for the Julian Draxler.

The 24-year-old, who completed his switch to Ligue 1 back in January, has been moved out of his preferred position this season due to the arrival of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

And with Sanchez seemingly unwilling to sign a new contract at the Emirates stadium, Draxler has been viewded as an option even if he will only be featuring on loan.
