Arsenal face Barcelona in quarter-finals
Arsenal have been handed a glamorous tie with Barcelona in the last eight of the UEFA Champions League.
The clash of course means former Arsenal talisman Thierry Henry may face his old club for the first time ever while the Gunners will be out for amends in what is a repeat of the cruel 2006 final.
The Gunners will play the first leg at home on March 31 before a trip to the Camp Nou on April 6.
The winner of this quarter-final faces either Inter Milan or CSKA Moscow in the semis.
Inter Milan v CSKA Moscow
Arsenal v Barcelona
Bayern Munich v Manchester United
Lyon v Bordeaux

Wenger said anywhere before mid-April is “pre-mature” and we know how he’ll want to wrap the player in cotton wool before letting him out there.
RVP will also have to play in a reserves’ match before his return.
So expect to see him either in late April or early May.

It wil be one the best champion league match in recent time. I believe arsenal can do it. This present arsenal team is more balance than 2005 champion league finalists.

-Our team trains and plays with a Barca like team everyday in practice so we understand the game and type of play.
-Our lads will have something to prove.
-We have a bunch of players that will be looking to make the revenge win after the disappointing loss years ago.
-We match up well with them.
-Remember when we faced Juv years ago and nobody gave our young team any credit and we smoked them? Along with Milan?
Wegner wanted this and will get this team ready for it. It will be football at it’s best and I bet that football in general won with this draw.

Regardless of what happens, I think none can argue that this has certainly been one of the best years for English and European football. Such a tight race in the Premier League and so many unexpected things happening in the Premier League and Champions league (and Europa League: that Fulham – Juve tie was crazy). Arsenal supporter or not, its been a great year and I just hope it cna end with some Silverware for the Gunners
What a mouth-watering matchup,i was hoping for this in the finals,but anytime is good enough i guess.While we have to respect Barca,we need not fear them because our team is as good as any other on the day.But the real winner will be the game itself,and the lovers of the beautiful game will be in for a treat.Can’t wait for March 31 to arrive.The other interesting matchup is the Manu/Bayern Munich game,in which i give Manu the edge.As for Inter/CSKA,i hope the Russians go through,primarily, and i must confess,selfishly,because of my dislike for Mourinho.The French connection is,well,just that.Let’s get it on,play ball.

Wenger Shouldn’t use Bendtner.This is a Golden Time for Arsenal against Barcelona who is the title winner in Champions league.Bendtner is not experienced.He is just a kid.He wasted so many chances.He should wait for at least 5years to be the Great Striker.Arshavin also experienced and great scorer but he is so short to go for a head shot.That’s the problem.But Winning Spirit is much better in need.This will decide whether Gunners will win the title or not.Hoping Title Winner for Gunners.
