Arsenal fans react to Granit Xhaka’s performance vs West Brom
Granit Xhaka has received mixed reviews for his performance on Monday as Arsenal defeated West Brom 1-0.
Arsene Wenger’s men registered their first victory in three games courtesy of a late winning goal from Olivier Giroud who was making his first start in the Premier League this season.
One man who has not found starts too hard to come by is Granit Xhaka – the player charged with the task of replacing Santi Cazorla for now.
The Switzerland international continued his partnership with Francis Coquelin in midfield despite the disappointment of failing to deal with the threats posed by Everton and Manchester City in the last two games.
Here were the thoughts of some fans on Xhaka’s display against Tony Pulis’ side…
Thought Xhaka was exceptional earlier, top class both on & off the ball, absolutely dictated the game, 133 passes says it all #AFC

Xhaka's performance has been severely overrated. Completed a high volume of passes against a complete deep block. What else was he gonna do?

Xhaka was anonymous at City but his form prior to that had been consistent. Thought he was brilliant today.
