The Gunners’ medical staff have finally placed a date on when new signing Kieran Tierney is expected to return to action after arriving at the club with an injury.

Unai Emery saw his two main left-backs Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal struggle to maintain a string of consistent displays last season as the club failed to qualify for the Champions League for yet another season.

The duo’s inability to produce reliable performances saw the Gunners boss move to buy Kieran Tierney as the deal with Celtic was completed very late in the summer transfer window.

However, Emery is yet to witness his new signing play because of a groin injury he was carrying, prior to his move to the Emirates stadium.

Tierney has been touted as one of Scotland’s brightest talents, and the wait to see him play is becoming a long one for the Arsenal faithful.

But ahead of the clash with Tottenham Hotspur this weekend, the club has provided an optimistic update about the return to action of the defender.

According to Arsenal’s medical staff, Tierney is set to return to training as early as next month as the team gets ready for the first busy run of fixtures of the season.

“Groin. Continues to receive treatment and further assessments. Progressing well and aiming to participate in full training in September.” an update on the club’s official website said
