The Gunners have revealed a list of players who will no longer be at the club after being ditched ahead of next season.

Arsenal announced a couple of weeks ago that Unai Emery would be given the job as the new manager, following the departure of Arsene Wenger at the start of last month.

Emery is being backed by most fans to clear out the ‘deadwood’, which essentially refers to players who are of no benefit to the team going forward.

After the exit of Alexis Sanchez during the January transfer window due to his refusal to renew his contract, it is now the turn of the club to reject the opportunity to extend the deals of several players whose deals have now hit an expiration.

Ahead of last weekend, Arsenal had to submit their list of players who are to be retained for the upcoming campaign, along with those who are being released.

Thus, the club has confirmed that youth team players like Marc Bola and Tafari Moore have been released while senior players like Santi Cazorla and Per Mertesacker have been let go as well.

Here was the full list of the Gunners’ released players who are now leaving the club for good:

Marc Bola

Santi Cazorla

Alexander Crean

Aaron Eyoma

Ryan Huddart

Chiori Johnson

Hugo Keto

Per Mertesacker

Tafari Moore
