The Gunners appear to have already kicked off their search for someone who could be a replacement for yet another key man on the way out of the Emirates stadium.

Prior to the exit of Arsene Wenger almost a year ago, many fans were calling for all kinds of changes to be made at the club.

In the wake of the Frenchman’s departure, the Gunners have tweaked one or two things but the problems within the club appear to have worsened.

With key midfielder Aaron Ramsey seemingly on his way out of the club, the Gunners have been given more bad news following reports that head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is also set to leave the Emirates stadium.

The German scout played a key role in several signings which have been made over the past year.

And according to the Independent, Arsenal are looking to replace Mislintat with former player Edu.

Indeed, the Brazilian, who won several trophies as a Gunner, is reported to have held talks with the club over a return.

Edu is being targeted by Arsenal as a possible replacement for Mislintat who is now set to say goodbye to the club he joined just over a year ago.

“The Independent understands there have already been relevant discussions between the two parties, with Arsenal executives impressed with Edu’s work as the technical director of the Brazil national team.” the Independent’s report said on the matter
