Arsenal are in advanced talks to secure the signing of a new goalkeeper this summer, according to a claim by Sky Sports.

Unai Emery has done well so far to secure the services of Stephan Lichtsteiner, with the likes of Sokratis and Lucas Torreira expected to complete transfer moves to north London as well.

However, it appears as though Emery will not end his summer business there just yet as the club continues to work on bringing in more defensive recruits.

According to Sky Sports, the Gunners are now in ‘advanced talks’ to agree a deal to sign Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

The 26-year-old is likely to replace Petr Cech in goal for Arsenal after a disappointing campaign which saw the team finish outside of the Premier League’s top four again.

After being announced as the man to replace Arsene Wenger a couple of weeks ago, Unai Emery has been eager to complete deals for his primary transfer targets before the World Cup even comes to an end.
