The Gunners appear to be closing in on a move which will see them secure the signing of a young attacker this summer, with the season currently on hold.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has shown signs of a manager who is keen on following the footsteps of Arsene Wenger by keeping faith in the youth.

And according to Goal, the Gunners are closing in on the signing of gifted Norwegian winger George Lewis, after his successful two-week trial at the club in March.

The report indicates that the 19-year-old attacker is speaking to Arsenal over a permanent move to the club and the deal is likely to be completed soon.

Lewis, who is a free agent at the moment, is expected to mingle with the club’s youth team before fighting for a spot in the first team.

The youngster, a versatile right-winger, kicked off his career in the youth ranks at Tromso before moving to third tier side Tromsdalen in 2017 – where he signed his first professional contract.
