Arsenal have fewer worries on the injury front heading into this weekend’s Premier League affair with Burnley.
Arsene Wenger’s side has now gone four games without tasting defeat in all competitions since the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.
Arsenal will be looking to gain another opportunity to reduce the gap between them and league leaders Chelsea who are currently eight points ahead.
For the Gunners to succeed in their pursuit of the title, injuries to key players cannot remain a problem. And ahead of the home clash with Burnley, Wenger has revealed the latest on the likes of Hector Bellerin, Francis Coquelin and Kieran Gibbs.
“Overall from last week, Bellerin, Coquelin and Gibbs are back in the group.” the Arsenal manager said at his pre-match press-conference
However, Wenger has revealed that despite reports of Theo Walcott making it back to training this week, the Englishman is still not ready to play.
“Not Walcott, but these three should be available for selection for Sunday. We have no injuries from last week.” he added
Per Mertesacker, who renewed his contract at the club a few days ago, is also struggling to redeem his full fitness.
“He is back in training, not with the squad but I think he is a few weeks away.” Wenger said
