Arsenal have reportedly made contact over a deal to seal a loan move for one of European football’s most talented attacking midfielders.

With Aaron Ramsey now nearing the final months of his career as an Arsenal player, the club has entertained the idea of signing a replacement before the season ends in May.

Several players have been linked with a move to the Emirates stadium this month and James Rodriguez is the latest man being talked about.

According to the Independent, the Gunners have investigated the possibility of signing Rodriguez on an initial loan deal, with intermediaries making contact.

The South American star is currently on a two-year loan spell at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid, the club he joined in the summer of 2014 for an expensive transfer fee after his displays at the 2014 World Cup.

The report is suggesting that both Madrid and Bayern would favour a loan move to Arsenal for Rodriguez who will be available for sale when he returns to Spain in the summer.
