Arsenal appear to be interested in the addition of a new midfielder who will bolster Unai Emery’s squad as the club looks to secure a spot in the top four of the Premier League this season.
The new Arsenal manager has watched his side struggle in recent weeks, despite going 22 games unbeaten – a run which ended in December against Southampton.
Emery is seemingly keen on signing a midfielder to freshen up his squad, especially with Aaron Ramsey set to leave the club after the season is over.
According to UOL, the Gunners have made an offer to sign Andreas Pereira from Premier League rivals Manchester United.
The Red Devils may be reluctant to sell to Arsenal, but the midfielder’s contract at Old Trafford is set to expire at the end of this campaign.
Pereira’s ability to play either on the flanks or through the middle means he would be a solid replacement for Aaron Ramsey.
