Arsene Wenger has directed his efforts towards another target in his mission to sign a new attacking midfielder this summer.

The Arsenal manager has been frequently linked with a move for the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Thomas Lemar thus far after bringing in Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette.

But Wenger appears to have picked out yet another target to pursue, heading into the new campaign.

According to reports, the Gunners have made an enquiry for Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman.

The 21-year-old is intent on impressing France boss Didier Deschamps during the upcoming season in order to be included in the squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

However, the report is indicating that Bayern have immediately made it clear to Arsenal that they are not willing to sell Coman.

The France international cost the Bundesliga champions €28 million in his move from Juventus.
