Mesut Ozil has made a new statement in response to recent rumours which have suggested he is preparing to leave the club this summer.
The 28-year-old began this season in sensational fashion, scoring a hattrick in the 6-0 victory over Ludogorets in October before finding the net in brilliant fashion in the return fixture.
However, Ozil’s form has dropped in recent months, prompting speculation that he is no longer interested in remaining at the Emirates stadium.
The former Real Madrid star, whose contract is set to expire in 2018, has moved to make it clear that he will only make a decision on his future after the season is over.
“The fact is, I’ve still got a contract in London. To speculate now would be wrong.” he said, as quoted by The Sport Review
“At the end of the season we will see, there will be talks. I’m very happy at Arsenal and in London.”
