Arsene Wenger has revealed there was more disappointment with injuries after the frustrating 2-1 defeat against Manchester City.

The Gunners began Sunday’s affair very brightly as Theo Walcott scored to put them ahead against a Pep Guardiola side missing key players like Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho.

However, goals from Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling in the second half condemned Wenger’s men to another loss in the league.

Arsenal were already hit by injuries to important players ahead of the clash at the Etihad stadium and Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will now be out of action as well.

“He [Oxlade-Chamberlain] has suffered a muscular problem.” the Arsenal manager said in his post-match interview

The England international, who had been brought on as a substitute for Alex Iwobi, was replaced by Mohamed Elneny after managing to feature for only 12 minutes.
