The Gunners are targeting the addition of a new left-back this summer if emerging rumours are anything to go by.
Arsene Wenger has seen his side struggle in that department this season with Nacho Monreal failing to maintain consistent form while Kieran Gibbs has remained a second string option at best.
As a result, Arsenal have now made a move to secure the signing of Schalke full-back Sead Kolasinac, according to the Daily Mail.
The promising 23-year-old star has previously been approached by Chelsea, Juventus, Liverpool and Manchester City.
Arsenal reportedly made contact with Kolasinac’s agent during the January transfer window after the acquisition of Cohen Bramall.
The report is suggesting that the Gunners have opened talks with the Bosnia international over a free transfer this summer since his contract at Schalke is set to expire.
Arsenal would certainly be strengthened by the addition of Kolasinac, a versatile player who is capable of featuring at centre-back, full-back or in the defensive midfield role.
