Arsenal move in to initiate talks over signing of new attacker – Report
Arsenal have reportedly opened talks over a possible transfer move for a midfielder currently based in Ligue 1.
Arsene Wenger appears to be interested in the addition of a new attacking midfielder after missing out on a deal for Julian Draxler who opted to join Paris Saint-Germain at the beginning of this month.
Rumours from earlier this week suggested that Arsenal were considering the acquisition of Lyon star Rachid Ghezzal.
And according to a new report by 90 Min on Saturday, the Gunners have opened talks with the French club and the player’s representative over a deal for the 24-year-old star.
The Algerian international’s contract with the Ligue 1 club expires in June and he is believed to be unwilling to sign a renewal.
Arsenal have apparently made an enquiry for Ghezzal with the view of signing him either for a cheap price before this transfer window closes or on a free transfer in the summer.
Due to the signing of Memphis Depay from Manchester United, Lyon may be willing to let go of one of their attacking options.
