Arsene Wenger has made a new attempt to bolster his attacking options heading into the 2017/18 campaign according to reports on Thursday.

Arsene Wenger has managed to bring in the likes of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette but the Frenchman has hinted that he could do more business before the transfer window closes.

Thomas Lemar and Riyad Mahrez have been the players linked with a move to the Emirates stadium so far but another target appears to have been identified.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Gunners have made an offer for Ousmane Dembele which has been instantly rejected by Dortmund.

The French youngster, who moved to the Bundesliga side from Rennes in a €15 million deal last summer, has attracted the interest of several big clubs around Europe.

Dembele was rumoured to be on the radar of Arsenal before his move to Germany and Wenger now appears to have resumed his pursuit of the attacking midfielder.

However, the Arsenal manager will have to return with a new offer if he is still keen on securing the services of the highly-rated France international.
