The Gunners appear to be working on yet another defensive deal as Unai Emery looks to continue his spending spree this summer.

Arsenal are in the middle of their pre-season activities as Emery assesses the fitness levels of most of his players for the first time since moving to the club in May.

The new Gunners boss has already secured deals to sign several players who have strengthened the first team ahead of next season.

But according to reports, Arsenal are now working on yet another deal to sign goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

The Borussia Monchengladbach star has been identified as the shot-stopper who could be added to new signing Bernd Leno in the defensive department.

Arsenal are reportedly in ‘advanced talks’ to sign the 29-year-old, whose arrival could see Petr Cech or David Ospina leave the club.

Emery is seemingly interested in a complete overhaul of an Arsenal defense which conceded the most goals out of all the top six sides in the Premier League last season.
