Arsene Wenger has identified another target who could bolster his attacking options should Alexis Sanchez say goodbye this summer.
The Arsenal manager saw his side defeat Bayern Munich in a penalty shout-out on Wednesday as their pre-season friendly against the German champions ended in a 1-1 draw after regulation time.
Wenger admitted earlier this week that he is still interested in bringing in another new signing after the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette two weeks ago.
And according to Don Balon, the Gunners are now ready to make a move for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
The 29-year-old has been frequently linked with a transfer switch to the Emirates stadium for several years now.
Arsenal are reportedly planning on making an offer for Benzema, who is currently pocketing €169,600-a-week in wages at Madrid, if Sanchez does chose to leave the club this summer.
