Arsene Wenger’s squad is looking a little stronger heading into this weekend’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.
The Gunners are set to welcome Sam Allardyce’s side to the Emirates stadium with hopes of making it two victories in a row after suffering successive defeats at Goodison Park and the Etihad stadium.
Arsenal’s below-par form began in the absence of Shkodran Mustafi who has helped the team avoid defeat in every single appearance he has made since signing for the club in August.
And after spending three weeks out with a hamstring problem, Wenger has confirmed that his vital centre-back will at least be back in the 18-man squad which faces Crystal Palace on Sunday.
“Shkodran is back in normal training and he will be back in the squad.” the Arsenal manager said on Thursday morning.
Mustafi’s return to fitness following less than a month out of action is indeed a rare quick recovery from an Arsenal player.
Fans have often been frustrated in the past by the news of injured players suffering a ‘set-back’ which usually doubles their spell on the sidelines.
