Arsenal shareholder Piers Morgan has hit out at Arsene Wenger over his reluctance to spend big this upcoming summer.

The Gunners manager has been criticized in the past for not making enough efforts to strengthen his squad due to inflated prices in the transfer market.

However, Wenger did manage to change his habits during the final week of last summer’s window as the signings of Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez took the club’s total spending beyond the £100 million mark.

With new rumours suggesting that Arsenal are eying the addition of AS Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe, the Gunners boss will be required to splash the cash again this summer.

But Wenger’s statement earlier this week that the striker’s price might be too high has suggested that he will not even bother to make a move.

And that is certainly bothering Piers Morgan who thinks the Arsenal manager should let go of his old money-saving policy.
