Mesut Ozil has displayed support for his manager amidst rumours of unrest in the Arsenal dressing room.
The Gunners suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League on Monday as a 3-0 humbling at Crystal Palace pushed them further out of the top four.
Ozil’s unresolved contract situation has seen rumours of a breakdown in the relationship between Wenger his key players continue to gather momentum.
However, the Germany international insists he still in favour of the Frenchman.
“As players you can’t decide who manages the club.” Ozil said
“I’ve always said he [Wenger] was the most important factor in me coming here.
“He’s been here for 20 years, he’s given a lot to the club and I think he deserves respect for what he’s achieved.”
