One of Arsene Wenger’s on-loan first team stars has sent out an apology following a forgettable moment on Saturday.

After being troubled by injuries for the last five seasons, Jack Wilshere finally chose a different scene as he secured a surprise loan move to Bournemouth on transfer deadline day.

The Englishman has been gradually working on redeeming his full fitness with Eddie Howe’s side after spending the summer at Euro 2016.

Wilshere was once again handed a few minutes of action for Bournemouth in their trip to Watford which ended in a dramatic 2-2 draw.

However, the affair at Vicrage Road was perhaps one to forget for the 24-year-old who managed to miss the net after being teed up on the left with a half empty goal to aim at.

Wilshere’s unlucky miss has prompted both comical and critical reactions from fans and as a result, the Arsenal star has taken to social media to somehow apologise for the moment.
