There is one player still on the books of Arsenal who would not mind witnessing the Gunners succumb to defeat this weekend.
Arsene Wenger’s men have now drawn their last three games after failing to beat Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain.
However, the encouraging note for Arsenal is that Wednesday’s 2-2 result has seen them go 18 games without defeat in all competitions.
That long unbeaten run could be put to test on Sunday when AFC Bournemouth take a trip to the Emirates stadium.
The clash will see on-loan Arsenal star Jack Wilshere miss out due to Premier League rules. But the 24-year-old, who is not happy with the idea of being omitted from the clash, insists he will be support only one team on Sunday.
“It’s frustrating of course, I’ve just got a run of games. But it might be a good thing in a way, just to miss one and refresh and go again” the midfielder said.
“But I will be there so it will be alright. At the minute I’m a Bournemouth player so I want Bournemouth to win.”
