The Gunners are reportedly looking to make an enquiry to complete a move for a new attacking midfielder who could replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the pecking order at the club.

New manager Unai Emery is hoping to secure a place back in the Champions League for the club after being appointed as the man to replace Arsene Wenger back in May.

Following a serious injury to Danny Welbeck in the Europa League earlier this month, Emery is now likely to consider a move for another attacker in the January transfer window.

Thus, reports are saying that Arsenal will enquire over the possibility of signing Roma ace Cengiz Under, putting the future of Henrikh Mkhitaryan in jeopardy.

The 21-year-old, who has been in impressive form in the Serie A this season, is currently valued at £44.5million by his club.

Bleacher Report have even claimed that Arsenal have sent scouts to watch Under feature at the Stadio Olimpico.

Reports are further stating that the attacker would be seen as an immediate replacement for Mkhitaryan if he does move to the Emirates stadium.
