Arsenal to welcome back 27-year-old star for Rennes second leg
The Gunners will have one of their key stars back in action for the important clash with Rennes in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Unai Emery will be hoping to see his side follow up the win over Manchester United on Sunday with another positive result in the second leg of the Europa League tie against Rennes on Thursday.
The French side somehow defeated Arsenal 3-1 in the first leg last week and not involved in that game was Alexandre Lacazette.
The 27-year-old was serving a suspension for his sending off against BATE Borisov in the previous round of the competition.
Lacazette was supposed to sit out one more game in Europe but an appeal from Arsenal has been accepted by UEFA.
Therefore, the former Lyon star, who was in superb form against Manchester United on Sunday, will be back in the Gunners’ Europa League squad for the clash with Rennes at the Emirates stadium.
Alexandre Lacazette is eligible to play in Thursday nights' @EuropaLeague League Last-16 second-leg clash against Rennes after his three-match ban was reduced to two games by UEFA. The Arsenal press conference will be around 1pm today. #AFC
