Wenger advised to sell players for £100m to buy Lemar and another signing
Arsene Wenger has been urged by Charlie Nicholas to offload players for profit in order to fund the purchase of two new signings.
The Arsenal manager has so far managed to secure the acquisitions of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette heading into the 2017/18 campaign.
But there have been concerns over the future of star forward Alexis Sanchez while rumours have linked Wenger with a move for Thomas Lemar.
And according to Sky pundit Nicholas, the Gunners should now do some selling to raise enough money for two more new additions.
“Sanchez has asked Arsenal for similar wages to Cristiano Ronaldo but he is not in the same world,” he said
“It’s not about what you lose, it’s about how you replace it.
“They could sell £100m worth of players, sign Thomas Lemar and finally get a top-class centre-back and be in a stronger position.”
