Arsenal working on agreeing £27m deal to sign South American attacker
The Gunners appear to be edging closer to the acquisition of another promising new signing in the January transfer window.
Arsene Wenger has faced more scrutiny in recent weeks after his side was comfortably beaten by Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup on Sunday.
And that is unlikely to be the Arsenal manager’s only worry with key forward Alexis Sanchez seemingly on the brink of a transfer to Manchester City.
Thus, Wenger is now closing in on a deal to sign talented winger Cristian Pavon from Boca Juniors.
A report by TyC Sports is claiming that Arsenal are prepared to get the deal completed this month since the club is concerned that Pavon’s value may increase if he shines at the World Cup in the summer.
The Gunners are reportedly willing to pay the 21-year-old’s release clause which is worth £27million.
Wenger is willing to push through a deal for Pavon who actually posseses a similar playing style to the man whom he could be replacing, Alexis Sanchez.
