Arsene Wenger is not giving anything away on Maroune Chamakh.
Arsenal’s boss intends to handle matters in a calm manner despite Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud revealing the 59-year-old contacted him regarding the availability of Chamakh.
Arsene respects the decision of the French club’s chief to appear public about business but he will do the opposite by remaining tight-lipped on any move for Chamakh.
“He (Bordeaux pres.) is responsible for his statements,” said the French man
The manager also chuckled about his phone call to Bordeaux – which is supposedly one of a ton he makes everyday – stressing it is nothing to read too much into.
“I wouldn’t like to commentate on any phone calls I made during the day because, at the moment, I have a hundred phone calls. The only thing I can say is that we are nowhere near to signing anybody at the moment.”
