Arshavin transfer hinted by agent, Toure wants to go

By Randy Osae

Now a very likely transfer

Andrei Arshavin has proper chances of playing at Arsenal soon according to his ever-revealing agent, Dennis Lachter.

Indeed, an Italian tabloid has hinted the news that Wenger will lure the Russian star with a heavy payment of £18 million to his current club.

If reports are anything to go by, Arshavin will be signing a stretchy 5-year deal with Arsenal and arguably set an all-time transfer record at the club.

In similarity to the Nasri saga, things have initiated with a close source’s tipping of the transfer, and for the players’ agent, another major signing is on Wenger’s grasp.

“Andrei is rated by Wenger who wanted him to sign [for Arsenal] last summer. This transfer would please everyone but we must wait a few days for confirmation.” Dennis Lachter said.

In other news, Kolo Toure – who is reportedly not on good terms with Gallas and an occasional personality in Wenger’s selections this season – has had a sensational request for an Arsenal exit declined by the club’s chairman.

The Ivorian is now favorite to leave the club since joining in 2002, considering the fact that unhappy players can never be forced to stay and Manchester City keeping close tabs with their high wage offer.

Hill-Wood is aware that the £10million-rated defender has indicated that he is keen to leave Emirates Stadium, but he insists the Gunners are not looking to sell.

“I know about it (the transfer request). But we are not going to accept it.” Hill-Wood told the Daily Star.

“We are not looking to let any of our players go and he is under contract – and we expect him to honour it.”

Toure’s intention to leave Arsenal is now crystal-clear, and eventually, the last man left from ‘the Invincibles’ might say his goodbye.

Arsenal SPOT will also take this opportuinity to wish all honorable readers a Happy and Prosperous New Year!!!

  1. Im a bit happy we are probably expecting Arshavin as the newcomer, but that happy turned out in something really sad (and maybe angry) when I read Kolo Toure wants to leave (he and gallas were a good combo in the defense). . . I HOPE HE STAYS THOUGH !!!

  2. I guess Kolo should stay and if possible Gallas sold. Gallas is older than Kolo. Also remember Kolo and Sol went the whole season without defeat. I think allowing Kolo go could come to hunt us like. Look at what has been happening since the Gilberto’s episode

  3. Randy, i wouldnt like to say this but i think your right, but i also think that gallas should stay, only if I should choose between willy g(GALLAS) and collasal(TOURE), i would also agree with akwasi’s message.

  4. I just dont believe this story so I guess I’ll have to wait and see how the whole saga plays out.

Randy I cant believe u reported this story like others by saying that toure is the last of the invincibles. How about clichy?????

  6. Ashley Cole was during 2003/2004 lined up as left back…

  7. I don’t blame Kolo. It must be pretty difficult playing for a team whose supporters only come alive to crucify their own. knowing his relationship with Eboue…he must be disgusted with the supporters.

I just hope Arsene doesn’t sell Gallas because he is a real classy defender…love him or not

  8. Randy…actually Gael was much much more than a bit player/reserve man for “The Invincibles”. 22 appearances speaks to that.

    Gael Clichy: Arsenal 2003–04

    EPL Appearances = 12

    FA/CC/Charity Shield Appearances = 9

    CL Appearances = 1

    Total Appearances = 22

The fringe players were Senderos, Aliadiere, Justin Hoyte.

  9. I read on ARSENAL.COM that Kolo Touré doenst want to leave anymore…
    CHEERS ! ! !

  10. TOURE stays……….like Risje says………….you can read it on Arsenal oficiall site……..CHEERS!!!!!!

  11. Thanks a lot karlos.

Randy, I’ll take it that clichy is not one of your favourites. Clichy was and might still be the youngest player to win an epl champions medal. He was and will remain part of the invincincibles regardless of appearance.

Personally I think it will be disrespectful to discount him as one of the invincibles based on appearance, knowing fully well that he was part of the team and ashley coles back up at the time.

Randy, I hope clichy doesnt read this blog

  12. I’m glad the rumor about toure leaving has been laid to rest, thank God. Given the media bias on arsenal which was the trend in 2008 and might as well be in 2009, I take every arsenal news with a pinch of salt.

For once, I didnt believe that gallas would be that stupid to start another burst up in the dressing room after the armband drama and besides, when did gallas begin calling the shots @ the emirates as to who plays and who doesnt.

I hope our worst is behind us as 2008 was nothing to remember.

The bones shall rise again if you believe.

long live arsenal, long live arsene
