The Gunners will be in pursuit of a rare win on Thursday, when they face off with Bournemouth in the Premier League.

When Arsenal last played against Thursday’s opponents in the league, they secured a 1-0 win, courtesy of a goal from David Luiz, which saw them move up to third place in the table.

Thanks to a dramatic collapse though, the Gunners are now sitting in eleventh place, only three spots ahead of the Cherries in the table, going into the second meeting of the season between the two sides.

Thursday’s affair will be Mikel Arteta’s first in charge of the team, after being named the new manager of Arsenal last Friday.

There will be a few big calls for the Spaniard to make at the Vitality stadium and one of them will be whether Alexandre Lacazette is involved or not.

With Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang appearing to be running out of gas in recent games, the Gabon star – who has certainly been one of the team’s best players this term – might just need a break to recharge his batteries.

Thus, Lacazette should start as the main striker while the likes of Hector Bellerin and Shkodran Mustafi come in for Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Calum Chambers (suspended) respectively.

PREDICTED TEAM

Leno

Bellerin – Mustafi – Luiz – Saka

Guendouzi – Xhaka – Torreira

Pepe – Lacazette –  Martinelli
