Aubameyang dropped, Monreal starts: 4-3-3 Predicted Arsenal XI vs Cardiff
The Gunners will be looking to bounce back with a win on Tuesday after the disappointing show against Manchester United which saw them lose 3-1 in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday night.
After beating Blackpool on the road in the previous round, Arsenal were in the mood for another long FA Cup run as they welcomed Manchester United to the Emirates stadium on Friday.
However, a poor defensive display saw the Gunners suffer a 3-1 loss to the Red Devils as they exited the competition in January for a second season in a row.
All there is to play for now is the Premier League and Europa League for Arsenal and Tuesday will be a big opportunity to bounce back from Friday’s setback.
Unai Emery might rotate his squad and considering Arsenal’s horrible luck with injuries, this might be the time to start reserving either one of Alexandre Lacazette or Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang after seeing Sokratis and Koscielny both go down on Friday night.
Apart from that, it might benefit Arsenal’s attacking system to just play one striker upfront for now and even though Aubameyang scored against United, he is actually the man who is slightly out of form at the moment.
Thus, here is the line-up we are predicting Emery to go with….
Leno
Maitland-N. – Monreal – Mustafi – Kolasinac
Xhaka – Guendouzi – Torreira
Ozil – Lacazette – Ramsey
