Arsenal star Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang made a move on Twitter to indirectly send out a message to the public over how he feels about Unai Emery’s treatment of Alexandre Lacazette so far.

The Gabon international moved to the Emirates stadium almost a year ago from Borussia Dortmund in a deal which made him the most expensive player in Arsenal’s history.

Aubameyang was initially expected to compete with Alexandre Lacazette for a place in the Gunners’ starting eleven.

However, the duo have rather formed a noticeably positive partnership which has seen them rack up a lot of goals over the past year.

Even so, Unai Emery has had moments where he has chosen to withdraw one of the pair from the team and Wednesday’s game provided a new episode regarding that situation.

Despite setting up a goal for Aubameyang against Brighton, Lacazette was substituted during the second half, much to the confusion of most fans.

As a result, Aubameyang retweeted a post from former Gunner Ian Wright which was aimed at reassuring Lacazette that he deserves a place in the team.
