Even though the Gunners found a way to win on Monday night, it was not without some real drama and Piers Morgan had some strong words for one Arsenal star.

Arsenal had a chance to return to winning ways last Thursday evening at home to Brighton but a poor defensive show saw them suffer a 2-1 loss on their own turf.

That result meant the Gunners were under even more pressure to produce a response on Monday as they traveled to West Ham for a vital London derby.

The match saw Freddie Ljungberg keep faith in Granit Xhaka as the midfielder retained his spot in the starting eleven.

The Switzerland international has been the subject of some serious controversy this season and while the Gunners were struggling earlier in the game against the Hammers, Xhaka attracted more criticism.

Piers Morgan took to social media to hit out at the former Bundesliga star, urging the club to sell him – before he was replaced by Matteo Guendouzi later in the game.
