Arsene Wenger will be sweating over the fitness of one of his key forwards ahead of next weekend’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
The Gunners boss has seen his side’s hopes of maintaining a title challenge damaged by the 3-1 defeat to Manchester City last Sunday.
And ahead of the north London derby next Saturday, the fitness of Olivier Giroud is now a major concern for Wenger.
The 31-year-old managed to score for France on Friday but he was withdrawn a couple of minutes later due to an apparent injury.
And according to rumours, Giroud, who had a bag of ice wrapped around his thigh after the substitution, picked up the injury during the warm up for the Wales game.
“It’s a small muscular problem. I put on a strap and took one or two anti-inflammatories and it allowed me to play [against Wales].” the striker said
“I cannot tell you more for Tuesday at the moment.”
