Arsene Wenger has given an update on his team ahead of the big showdown against Manchester City on Sunday.
The Arsenal manager watched his side secure a place in the next round of the Europa League, despite having to settle for a 0-0 draw against Red Star Belgrade.
Wenger is expected to make several changes to the starting eleven this weekend after rotating his squad for Thursday night’s fixture.
And ahead of the clash with Pep Guardiola’s side, the Gunners boss has revealed that key star Danny Welbeck will not be available for selection.
The former Manchester United striker last featured in the defeat against Watford three weeks ago and according to Wenger, Welbeck is still not ready to return.
“They are not far, Danny [Welbeck] is not far and David [Ospina] is in training as well but the Man City game will come too early for them.” the Arsenal manager said
