Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed his side has been dealt a new injury blow heading into this weekend’s clash with Manchester United.
The Gunners secured their third consecutive victory in the Premier League on Wednesday as a fluid attacking display saw them score four times in the second half to win 5-0.
Courtesy of that win, Arsene Wenger’s men have remained in the top four, four points ahead of north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
It was a night of many positives but the only bad news was over the fitness of the man who opened the scoring against Huddersfield.
Alexandre Lacazette, whose return to the starting line-up has seen Arsenal redeem their best form, has suffered an injury which might keep him sidelined ‘for a while’.
According to Arsene Wenger, the French striker, replaced by Olivier Giroud at half-time, will now be unavailable for this weekend’s showdown at the Emirates stadium.
