Arsene Wenger has been handed his first major injury concern of the new season as the Gunners look to redeem their form when action resumes later this month.
Arsenal are deemed by many to be in crisis at the moment following back-to-back away defeats to Stoke City and Liverpool which has left them with only three points from their opening three games in the Premier League.
And according to reports, matters could even be worse for the Gunners on the injury front with key star Alexis Sanchez now sweating over his fitness while on duty with Chile.
The 28-year-old featured on Thursday night as Paraguay defeated his side 3-0 in a crucial World Cup qualifier, only hours after his move to Manchester City had collapsed.
And reports from Chile are now claiming that the forward has suffered an ankle injury which might see him sidelined for his country’s upcoming fixture during the international break.
Sanchez, who featured for 62 minutes in last Sunday’s 4-0 loss at Anfield, left training with ice packs on his left ankle and he is now expected to be evaluated by the medical staff.
