Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara has picked out the Arsenal player who stands out the most ahead of Wednesday’s clash.

The Gunners are preparing for a tough trip to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday for the first leg of this season’s round of 16 tie.

Following recent defeats to Watford and Chelsea, Arsenal are hardly heading into the encounter with full confidence even though they managed to see off Hull City on Saturday.

However, one man in red-hot form for Arsene Wenger’s side is star forward Alexis Sanchez who has racked up 21 goals already this season.

According to Alcantara, Sanchez, whom he played with at Barcelona, is a player capable of shning wherever he goes.

“It’s not about how he [Sanchez] fits in the Premier League. He’s good.” the midfielder said

“It’s just because he’s good. And here in Germany, in England, in Spain, he’s good. He would do great here or everywhere.

“He’s a great player with a lot of technique and an instinct for goal. And all the time he was so competitive.

“He’s a guy who wants football, who lives football, who breathes football.

“And he wants to win like we want to win.”
