BBC journalist David Ornstein has provided the latest update on a transfer deal which will the Gunners let go of another first team star.

Arsene Wenger was able secure the signature of Alexandre Lacazette last summer, in order to increase his attacking options ahead of this season.

The arrival of the French international prompted rumours that Wenger was set to offload at least one of his back-up goalscorers in the squad.

That particular move failed to happen but with the transfer window open again, rumours have linked Theo Walcott with a departure after more than ten years at the club.

BBC journalist David Ornstein has revealed that the Gunners are indeed in talks with Everton over a possible move to Merseyside for the 28-year-old.

According to the usually reliable journalist, Arsenal are looking to reach an agreement with Sam Allardyce’s side which would be worth over £20million for the sale for Walcott.
