BBC have also added to the reports of Arsenal’s potential deal with an Italian club to strengthen their midfield this summer.
The often reliable British source has usually been the go-to place for transfer news which are very likely to happen and there appears to be one on the way for the Gunners.
Following the arrival of Unai Emery, Arsenal have so far managed to secure a deal to sign one player, Stephan Lichsteiner, who has chosen to move to north London after the expiration of his deal at Juventus.
And according to BBC, the new Gunners boss is now working on another move which could see him secure the services of Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria this summer.
The 22-year-old was one of the stars of the Serie A from last season and his signature has been chased by several clubs.
Other outlets and journalists have made their claims but with the much-respected BBC now reporting about the deal for Torreira as well, it may well be on the brink of being completed indeed.
