The Gunners have reportedly made an approach over signing one of the Italian top-flight’s stand-out attacking players in recent years.

Unai Emery and his side came into the January transfer window with many expecting one or two new signings due to their recent struggles in the Premier League.

However, with only days left in the window, Arsenal are yet to sign anyone and the club has now switched its focus to Ivan Perisic.

According to BBC, the Gunners have made an approach to sign the 29-year-old from Inter Milan this month.

Arsenal reportedly want to secure a loan move for the forward for the rest of the season, with an option to buy him in the summer for £35m.

Perisic is a player who has obviously been linked with a move to north London in the past and Arsenal’s failed move for Denis Suarez has now made the Croatian international an idle candidate in Emery’s search for an attacker.
