BBC journalist David Ornstein has revealed the latest regarding Arsenal’s business in the transfer market ahead of the start of pre-season later this month.

New Arsenal manager Unai Emery has had a fairly busy transfer window so far, after replacing Arsene Wenger almost two months ago.

Having signed the likes of Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno and Sokratis Papadopoulos so far, the former Paris Saint-Germain boss is rumoured to be targeting more deals before the start of the new season.

For several weeks now, there have been reports stating that the Gunners have been working on a deal to secure the signing of Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria.

The 22-year-old has left Russia with his countrymen after Uruguay were knocked out of the World Cup by France last Saturday.

According to BBC journalist David Ornstein, the midfielder is set to undergo a medical at Arsenal ahead of his much-anticipated move to the Emirates stadium.
