BBC’s David Ornstein has provided an update on the status of Arsenal’s move for what would be their third new addition of the January transfer window.
Arsene Wenger has so far secured the services of the likes of Konstantinos Maprovanos and Henrikh Mkhitaryan as he looks to improve his squad for the on-going second half of the campaign.
Following the arrival of Mkhitaryan, Arsenal have been strongly linked with the acquisition of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang from Dortmund before the end of the transfer window.
Various reports on Sunday suggested that the 28-year-old star, who has managed to score an impressive 22 goals in all competitions so far this season, was on the verge of moving to the Emirates stadium this month.
And according to BBC’s often reliable journalist David Ornstein, the Gunners are indeed wrapping up a deal to sign Aubameyang which would cost around £60million, a true bargain in today’s transfer market.
