BBC journalist David Ornstein has revealed the truth regarding Arsenal’s reported move to sign Barcelona star Moussa Dembele.
The Gunners managed to complete five new signings before pre-season even kicked off, in what has been a very busy summer transfer window.
But there have continued to be reports linking new Arsenal manager Unai Emery with one more late transfer deal before the window closes this week.
Earlier on Thursday, there were reports coming from Spain that the Gunners had indeed made a huge offer to sign Moussa Dembele, a player who won the World Cup with France last month.
The France international is believed to have been on Arsenal’s radar for quite a while and reports for much of this summer had suggested there was an offer on the cards for the 21-year-old.
However, BBC journalist David Ornstein has now revealed that claims of a bid for Dembele are actually false.
